Oxilyser3 for Passivity testing of stainless steels

 

제품특징

Anyone involved with stainless steel senses the importance of ensuring material adequacy and efficiency. Even so, many things can (and do) go wrong during product development, the quality process and use in practice. Picking the wrong type of stainless steel may result in warranty claims. The neglect of surface irregularities may lead to issues of corrosion and, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, hygiene. Harmful consequences and cost effects can be huge. Corrodium bv, active in this field since 1989, has instruments available for optimizing the quality control of stainless steel products. Its MolyTester for stainess steel identification and its Oxilyser for passivity testing are widely used.

This method for surface testing has become the standard in the shipping industry with regard to testing Stainless Steel Tanks on passivity and surface condition. Also Pickling and Passivation Companies, as well as Stainless Steel Fabricators, frequently use the Oxilyser.

Oxilyser replaced palladium chloride test as more reliable standard for passivity testing.

Direct measurement, built in algorithm for passivity testing.

Objective result on LCD display. Scale 0 (active) to 100 (fully passive).

Good / not good LED passivity indication for three stainless steel groups.

Shockproof Epoxy Double Bridge Ag/AgCl2 reference electrode. Gel filled, this makes measuring "up side down" possible.

In contrary to palladium chloride test and ferroxil test, the Oxilyser 3 electrolytes are not toxic and not harmful.

Measuring procedure fits into QA/QC procedures (ISO 9001, 9002, etcetera).

For industrial use.

Impedance resistance > 10 MΩ. Test procedure for reference has been included.

1.     0% Molybdenum (AISI 304, 321, 304L, Wst. Nr. 1.4301, 1.4541, etcetera).
2.     2% Molybdenum (AISI 316, 316L, 316Ti, Wst. Nr. 1.4404, 1.4571, etcetera).

3.     Duplex stainless and 6% Mo steel such as Wst. Nr. 1.4462, duplex 2205, duplex 2507, 254 SMO and 1943 hMo.
